Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup diced lettuce
  • Tortilla chips or mini taco shells


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until the meat is fully browned with no pink remaining.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the pan. Return it to the heat, sprinkle in the taco seasoning, and follow the packet instructions—typically adding a little water—to let the seasoning soak in.
  3. Once seasoned, transfer the beef mix to a bowl and stir in the ranch dressing until everything is well-coated.
  4. Spoon a generous mound of the beef mixture onto each tortilla chip or mini taco shell. Top with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and a sprinkle of lettuce.
  5. Serve them immediately or arrange the assembled chips or shells on a baking sheet and broil for 1–2 minutes to melt the cheese and warm the dish.

Notes

For a lighter version, swap ranch dressing with Greek yogurt mixed with spices. Feel free to customize toppings based on preferences.
