Description

A comforting dish made with leftover turkey, ricotta, and mozzarella, stuffed in pasta shells and baked with marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 2 cups leftover turkey, shredded
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded turkey, ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Carefully fill each pasta shell with the turkey filling using a spoon.
  5. Spread half of the marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Arrange the filled shells in the dish, then pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella over the stuffed shells.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.

Notes

You can substitute different cheeses or use a vegetarian protein if needed. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
