Ingredients
- 3 1/2 lbs Chicken thighs or drumsticks, bone-in and skin-on
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 tsp Paprika, smoked
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, chili powder, kosher salt, and smoked paprika.
- Rub the spice mixture generously all over the chicken thighs or drumsticks.
- Brush the BBQ sauce lavishly over the chicken pieces for extra flavor.
- Place the seasoned chicken on the grill, cooking for about 30 to 40 minutes, turning occasionally.
- During the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush on more BBQ sauce for an extra sticky glaze.
- Once done, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For deeper flavors, marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) before serving.
