Delicious cookies inspired by the beloved Twix chocolate bar, featuring buttery cookies, gooey caramel, and smooth chocolate.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then flatten each ball slightly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely.
- While the cookies cool, melt the caramel and heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Pour a spoonful of the caramel mixture over each cookie and allow it to set.
- Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave or a double boiler and drizzle them over the caramel layer.
