Description

A mouthwatering fusion of seasoned ground beef, gooey cheese, and crispy bread that warms your heart with every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices sourdough or white bread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Begin by heating a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, cooking it until browned.
  2. Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onions turn translucent.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, then stir in Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce.
  4. Meanwhile, butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
  5. Preheat another skillet or a griddle over medium heat. Place two slices of bread in the skillet, butter side down.
  6. Layer the bottom slice with cheddar cheese, followed by the beef mixture, and then a generous helping of mozzarella cheese. Top with another slice of bread, butter side up.
  7. Grill each side of the sandwich for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese has melted. Be sure to flip carefully!
  8. Once done, slice the melt in half and serve while warm. Garnish with fresh parsley for an extra touch.

Notes
