Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup peppermint chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- Crushed peppermint candies for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and egg until fully blended.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, then gently fold in the peppermint and white chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top, if desired.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For richer flavor, use only brown sugar. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for three months.
