Description
A refreshing salad combining strawberries, basil, and mozzarella, tossed in a tangy balsamic dressing, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 3 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped
- 8 oz strawberries, halved
- 7 1/3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, cubed or sliced
Instructions
- Grill or pan-cook the chicken breasts until fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side depending on thickness. Let them cool and slice into bite-sized pieces.
- Combine the sliced chicken, fresh strawberries cut into halves, and finely chopped fresh basil in a mixing bowl.
- Whisk together the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and olive oil in a small bowl until well combined.
- Drizzle the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
- Add the fresh mozzarella cheese, either cubed or sliced, and serve immediately for the best flavor and presentation.
