Description
A hearty baked beans dish featuring rich ground beef, perfect for family gatherings and casual weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 3 (22 oz) cans Baked beans
- 1 Green bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 Onion, chopped
- 1/2 tbsp Hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 3/4 tbsp Yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef. Cook until it’s nicely browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in the chopped onion and green bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are softened.
- Pour in the baked beans, and then add the hot sauce, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Mix everything well and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking and promote even cooking.
- Serve hot, and enjoy as a hearty side dish or main course.
Notes
Feel free to customize the ingredients with different beans or proteins. You can also add garlic powder for extra flavor.
