Description

A hearty baked beans dish featuring rich ground beef, perfect for family gatherings and casual weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 3 (22 oz) cans Baked beans
  • 1 Green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp Hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 3/4 tbsp Yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef. Cook until it’s nicely browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in the chopped onion and green bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are softened.
  4. Pour in the baked beans, and then add the hot sauce, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix everything well and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking and promote even cooking.
  6. Serve hot, and enjoy as a hearty side dish or main course.

Notes

Feel free to customize the ingredients with different beans or proteins. You can also add garlic powder for extra flavor.
