A delightful Middle Eastern dish featuring marinated chicken, aromatic spices, and a velvety garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken thighs or breasts
- 2 tsp Coriander, ground
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 1 cup Fresh Vegetables (e.g., lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers)
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Tahini
- 1 tsp Paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1/4 cup Olive oil
- 2 tsp Cumin, ground
- 1/4 cup Plain yogurt
- Pita bread or wraps for serving
Instructions
- Combine the ground coriander, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, tahini, paprika, salt, turmeric, olive oil, cumin, and yogurt to create a flavorful marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs or breasts to the marinade and ensure they are well coated. For optimal flavor, marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight if possible.
- Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until it’s fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes to retain moisture before slicing it thinly.
- Serve the sliced chicken in pita bread or wraps, topped with fresh vegetables.
Notes
For best results, marinate overnight. Feel free to customize ingredients based on preferences.
