Ingredients
- 15 oz Italian sausage
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning or herbs de Provence
- 5 oz fresh Spinach
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- 15 oz Tomato sauce
- 8 oz Rigatoni
- Red pepper flakes (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Coarsely ground black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 cup Heavy cream
Instructions
- Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until it’s nicely browned and cooked through.
- Next, add minced garlic and Italian seasoning, sautéing for about a minute until fragrant.
- Now, pour in the chicken broth and tomato sauce, stirring to ensure everything is well combined.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then stir in the heavy cream and fresh spinach. Cook until the spinach is wilted and the sauce is rich and creamy.
- Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet, gently tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.
- Finally, season with red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to taste. Serve warm and enjoy!

For additional flavor, consider using high-quality Italian sausage and garnishing with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and parsley.
