Deliciously rich and fudgy brownies made with black beans for a nutritious twist.
Ingredients
- 1 can Black beans
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1/2 cup Nuts or chocolate chips
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Rinse and drain the black beans, then blend them in a food processor until smooth.
- Add the eggs, maple syrup (or honey), baking powder, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extract to the blended beans, and pulse until fully combined.
- Stir in the nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Enjoy with vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for extra indulgence. Store in an airtight container for freshness.
