Description

A vibrant and zesty roasted tomatillo salsa packed with fresh flavors and a smoky aroma, perfect as a dip or topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Tomatillos
  • 2 Jalapeno peppers
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 small Onion
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro, fresh leaves
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • Salt, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Husk and rinse the tomatillos under cold water, then place them on a baking sheet along with jalapeños, onion, and garlic.
  3. Roast in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until everything is soft and slightly charred.
  4. Allow the ingredients to cool slightly before transferring them to a blender.
  5. Add the cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste.
  6. Blend until smooth or reach your desired consistency.
  7. Serve with tortilla chips or use it as a topping for tacos.

Notes

This salsa is best served fresh, but can be refrigerated for up to three days or frozen for a month.
