Ingredients
- 1 lb Tomatillos
- 2 Jalapeno peppers
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 small Onion
- 1/2 cup Cilantro, fresh leaves
- 1 tbsp Lime juice
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Husk and rinse the tomatillos under cold water, then place them on a baking sheet along with jalapeños, onion, and garlic.
- Roast in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until everything is soft and slightly charred.
- Allow the ingredients to cool slightly before transferring them to a blender.
- Add the cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste.
- Blend until smooth or reach your desired consistency.
- Serve with tortilla chips or use it as a topping for tacos.
Notes
This salsa is best served fresh, but can be refrigerated for up to three days or frozen for a month.
