Ingredients
- 1 lb white fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Rub this spice mixture evenly over the fish fillets.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and flaky.
- Combine the shredded cabbage, cilantro, red onion, lime juice, mayonnaise, and honey in another bowl to make the slaw. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Warm the tortillas in a pan or microwave until soft and pliable.
- Assemble the tacos by placing pieces of fish in the tortillas and generously topping with the cilantro lime slaw.
- Drizzle with hot sauce, if desired, and serve immediately for the freshest experience.
