Delightful Key Lime Pie Bars that combine a creamy filling with a crunchy graham cracker crust for a refreshing dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup key lime juice
- Zest of 1 lime
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to create the crust.
- Whisk together the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth and free of lumps.
- Pour the lime mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until you see the filling set.
- Allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
Notes
For an extra tangy kick, add more lime zest. Store-bought graham cracker crust can also be used for convenience.
