Description

Delightful Key Lime Pie Bars that combine a creamy filling with a crunchy graham cracker crust for a refreshing dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to create the crust.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth and free of lumps.
  4. Pour the lime mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until you see the filling set.
  6. Allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Notes

For an extra tangy kick, add more lime zest. Store-bought graham cracker crust can also be used for convenience.
