A quick and healthy recipe for lemon garlic tilapia that’s ready in under 30 minutes, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 skinless tilapia fillets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season tilapia fillets with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any bits stuck to the skillet.
- Stir in the remaining butter and heavy cream, simmering until thickened slightly.
- Add chopped parsley and gently return tilapia to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top.
- Serve immediately with your choice of sides, like rice or steamed vegetables.
