Description

A quick and healthy recipe for lemon garlic tilapia that’s ready in under 30 minutes, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 4 skinless tilapia fillets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season tilapia fillets with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any bits stuck to the skillet.
  5. Stir in the remaining butter and heavy cream, simmering until thickened slightly.
  6. Add chopped parsley and gently return tilapia to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of sides, like rice or steamed vegetables.
