Ingredients

  • 12 breakfast sausage links (pre-cooked or raw)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 slices of sandwich bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk


Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the breakfast sausage links according to the package instructions if using raw.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin to make rolling easier.
  4. Take a cooked sausage link and place it at one end of the bread slice. Roll it up tightly, ensuring to seal the edges.
  5. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat until foamy.
  6. Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s coated thoroughly.
  7. Place the roll-ups in the skillet, cooking until they’re golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Serve warm, paired with additional maple syrup for dipping.
