Ingredients
- 12 breakfast sausage links (pre-cooked or raw)
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 slices of sandwich bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Start by cooking the breakfast sausage links according to the package instructions if using raw.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin to make rolling easier.
- Take a cooked sausage link and place it at one end of the bread slice. Roll it up tightly, ensuring to seal the edges.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat until foamy.
- Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s coated thoroughly.
- Place the roll-ups in the skillet, cooking until they’re golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Serve warm, paired with additional maple syrup for dipping.
