Crispy exterior and tender interior tuna cakes paired with zesty spicy mayo, perfect for a quick and healthy meal.
Ingredients
- 2 cans of tuna, drained
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
Instructions
- Combine the drained tuna, bread crumbs, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, beaten egg, ginger, garlic, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches wide.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat to cover the bottom of the pan.
- Fry each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Blend the mayonnaise, sriracha, and lime juice in a separate bowl until smooth for the spicy mayo.
- Serve the tuna cakes warm with the spicy mayo on the side.
Notes
Ensure the tuna is well-drained; add more bread crumbs if the mixture is too wet to form patties. Use panko for extra crunch.
