Crispy exterior and tender interior tuna cakes paired with zesty spicy mayo, perfect for a quick and healthy meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice


Instructions

  1. Combine the drained tuna, bread crumbs, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, beaten egg, ginger, garlic, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches wide.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat to cover the bottom of the pan.
  4. Fry each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Blend the mayonnaise, sriracha, and lime juice in a separate bowl until smooth for the spicy mayo.
  6. Serve the tuna cakes warm with the spicy mayo on the side.

Notes

Ensure the tuna is well-drained; add more bread crumbs if the mixture is too wet to form patties. Use panko for extra crunch.
